Maggie right after Church. For New Years Eve, we dipped chocolates, and I have a bunch of photos of the kids with chocolate all over their faces, but they had goofy expressions, so I used this cute photo of Maggie for photo a day instead.

It was a pretty good year for me this year. I paid off the house. I started running, and I am in the best shape I've been for at least 20 years. I also started reading more. In 2022, I don't think I read a single book; this year, I read 11 books.

We had a nice Christmas Eve with Becca's cousin's family. We then set up this shot with a speedlight in the book. I should have put a colored filter on the flash to match the white balance to the background a little better. Maybe I'll try again next year.

The Christmas tree. With the different white balance outside, it almost looks like snow out there, but it doesn't look like we'll be getting any snow before Christmas.

The Christmas tree. This was the first year in a very long time, that we were able to leave presents under the tree before Christmas Day. We've always had someone that would try to open presents early.

An ornament on the tree. I tried to make it more interesting with the tilt lens, but I'm not sure it made much difference.

We got Elizabeth and Jack new kindles, and gave them to them before Christmas. And since we had an extra, Maggie took it. She's now reading the first Harry Potter book on it. Maggie also likes wearing old glasses without the lenses, because she wants to be like her older sister who wears glasses.
