On my way to Paris. I believe I was over greenland when I shot this picture. That’s the moon under the wing.

My sisters cat. Not much time to get a good picture today – I’m getting ready to leave for Paris. I won’t be updating this while I’m gone, but I will be shooting, so I’ll catch up on all my pictures when I get home.

An infrared macro of a flower. I’ve gotten good use out of the flowers my sister got for Mother’s Day.

I figured out how to get the coolpix to shoot RAW. I’m also able to convert that file to a .NEF file (equivalent to a cp5700 file) but when it’s converted there’s way too much red in it. So I’m doing something wrong. Hopefully I can get this figured out. (any help is welcome)

I still haven’t gotten the clear glass to replace the IR blocking filter so it doesn’t focus correctly, but I found it focuses close, so it makes a decent macro.

Yes, it’s a blurry picture; here’s why. I’m in the processes of turning this into a high speed IR camera. My brother and I removed the IR blocking filter in front of the sensor. I still need to get a clear piece of glass to put where the IR blocking filter went to correct the focusing. But this picture proves that we were able to get the filter out, the light sensitivity increased significantly, and most importantly, the camera still works after we did it.
